My studio is nestled in a large aspen grove near Butler Creek
about ten miles from Missoula. Our neighbors include magpies,
hummingbirds, red tail hawks, sapsuckers, chickadees, turkeys,
ducks, and a Great Blue Herron. We have seasonal visits from
black bears, fox, deer, and ermine. In early spring, a herd
of elk saunters by grazing its’ way across the hills
behind our house. Bitterroots flower on the ridge above. The
surrounding hillsides in this drainage carry small ridges,
which resemble a stairway carved into the earth. These are
the remains of the ancient Lake Missoula’s shoreline,
created when the glaciers blocked the tributaries to the Columbia
River.
For
over 16 years this studio has created custom designed sandblasted
art on glass. Here the artist and craftsman design
and create
exquisitely unique works for residences, restaurants, hotels,
theatres, churches, commercial applications, and private collectors.
The projects range from small, medium, and large windows, to
doors and entryways, to interior walls.
From
conceptual drawings to completed project, each step of the
process is completed by hand with
a focused attention on
quality and detail. They are signature design pieces for the
discriminating client. Each project is one of a kind to compliment
the architecture and enhance the ambiance of the surrounding
area. A beautiful etched glass entryway welcomes the visitor
and makes a statement about the uniqueness of the home/business
and its owner. It increases the value of the installation site.
It’s the first and the last thing a prospective customer
or a visitor sees, making it more memorable.
